The History of HAI Global
The Human Awareness Institute (HAI) was founded in 1968 by Dr. Stan Dale. He created the workshop series “Love, Intimacy and Sexuality” to help people enjoy and maintain successful, loving relationships built on honesty and integrity.
Stan Dale was one of only ten people worldwide to receive the Mahatma Gandhi Peace Medallion in recognition of his selfless commitment to world peace, humanity, and brotherhood. He was also honored with the “Humanist of the Year” award by the Ethical Humanists of Chicago.
Dr. Dale passed away in 2007, but his work continues to be shared and taught around the world, primarily by dedicated volunteers who facilitate these workshops wholeheartedly for the benefit of others.
Today, HAI Global is a non-profit organization offering workshops in the United States, Canada, Australia, Europe, and Japan. More than 75,000 people worldwide have experienced these transformational workshops.

The Beginning of HAI in Germany
In May 2004, the first HAI workshop was held in Germany, bringing the HAI experience from California, USA, to Europe.
The workshop was met with such enthusiasm and positive feedback that it inspired the founding of Hand on Heart e.V., a German non-profit association dedicated to fostering love, connection, and tolerance through workshops.
Since then, Hand on Heart e.V. has continued to organize HAI workshops in Germany, creating opportunities for people to connect, grow, and explore more love and intimacy in their lives.
